Key to success: employee management
Development programme for managers in production
In performance-oriented companies, the demands for innovation and cost-effectiveness are constantly increasing. Managers play an important role in this, especially production managers, who often have the largest span of control in the company and are therefore responsible for many employees and machine technology. In addition to technical know-how, skills such as organisation, coordination, motivation and change management are also crucial for successful managers in production today.
Production processes need to become more efficient and effective, while at the same time reducing costs and complaint rates. Printed products must meet the highest standards of sustainability and innovation. At the same time, new ways of working need to be implemented and modern working conditions created for employees. Not least in order to counteract the shortage of skilled workers and position the company competently within its own industry.
To meet these requirements, the development programme for managers in the production of printing and media companies offers valuable "tools" for modern employee management. Important innovation and efficiency goals as well as benchmarks are presented in order to inspire employees and resolve conflicts. Innovation, productivity and efficiency are to be achieved through targeted employee development, good communication and the application of lean management principles.

The programme offered by GC Graphic Consult GmbH and the Verband Druck + Medien Nord-West e. V. (North-West Printing and Media Association) helps managers to act confidently in difficult conditions and under constantly increasing time and performance pressure. It is aimed in particular at technical managers, production managers, shift supervisors and specialists.
Speaker Peter Jeschke, Managing Director of GC Graphic Consult GmbH, will lead the programme. He has many years of experience in advising companies in the areas of strategy, organisation, sales, restructuring and personnel development.
The event will take place from 24 May 2023 to 25 May 2023 at the premises of Verband Druck + Medien Nord-West e.V. (VDMNW) in Lünen and will last 2.5 days. This will be followed by a transfer phase in the participants' own companies for individual consolidation and implementation of the tools learned in their personal areas of development. After six and twelve weeks, there will be 90-minute virtual follow-up meetings for reflection and discussion with the group. Peter Jeschke will then be able to provide valuable advice and practical tips for specific everyday situations.
The participation fees are €1,680 for members of the VDMNW and €2,280 for non-members, with the possibility of a €500 education voucher subsidy for companies with up to 50 employees from North Rhine-Westphalia.
